Epson gives powerful provider software toward this scanner, which combines both MediaImpression Arc for media grid plus ABBYY FineReader Sprint to Optical Character Recognition (OCR). It is an excellent general-purpose application for extracting editable text from printed pages and working directly to generate formatted Word documents.

Photo handling in MediaImpression offers automatic correction such as changes in lighting, red-eye removal, and skin color enhancement. Auto-noise deletion is a bit heavy, but you can sign in and make changes manually. There is also a stitching program from Arc, to handle panoramas of a series of photos.

Doesn't work. I have checked a couple of discussions but couldn't find any solutions..

I have an iMac 27' i7 and I am running Lion for quite a while.

Today, I have purchased an Epson V330 scanner. On the box, it says Mac OS X 10.6 + was supported.

First I have tried to install the driver from the supplied CD's but I have seen that Lion needs something named 'Rosetta' and without it, I cannot install those files and software from Epson CD's. And Rosetta was not supported by Lion...

So I have googled it and found an article on Epson website which tells me to connect my scanner to Mac without using any CD's or stuff, just plug the USB cabe in and run the scanner, find your product from Printers&scanner @ System Preferences and make software update...

Doesn't work either... My product is not listed even though I try to add it with + button to the list...

I have disabled the firewall, rebooted Mac.... Useless...

This iMac (running Lion) DOES NOT EVEN SEE the scanner, even though it is connected and energized..

I have even tried it with a different USB cable... 🙂
