It’s been a week since Microsoft released the latest Preview build of its upcoming Windows 10 operating system to the public. The newest iteration of Windows OS is not just being developed for desktops and tablets but for smart phones as well.

With Windows 10, Microsoft is aiming to move all PC users to its latest version of operating system. The software giant has already announced that Windows 10 is a free upgrade for existing Windows 7 as well as Windows 8.1 users who upgrade to Windows 10 within the first year of the RTM release of Windows 10. The free upgrade is not available for Enterprise edition though.

Windows 10 ships with a host of new features and enhancements. The continuum feature of the operating system automatically switches between tablet and PC modes depending on the available hardware. For instance, when you connect a keyboard to tablet, Windows 10 Continuum feature automatically changes Windows 10’s behaviour and interface to PC mode.

The taskbar of this version of Windows is better than ever as it now lets you search the web as well as PC without opening the Start menu, File Explorer or any web browser.

The personal assistant Cortana is another excellent feature of the operating system. The all new notification center, universal apps, and new web browser (code named Project Spartan) make Windows 10 very exciting.

Since Windows 10 is still a few months away from the RTM stage, many of you might want to try it out the currently available build on your Mac computers.
